Update: The suspension of terms and deadlines of the Energy Regulatory Commission concludes

Yesterday, the Energy Regulatory Commission (“CRE”) published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (“DOF”) the “Agreement whereby the legal deadlines and terms at the Energy Regulatory Commission, which were suspended as a measure to prevent and combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus under the various Nos. A/010/2020, A/014/2020, A/015/2020, and A/018/2020, are resumed” (the “Agreement”).

The Agreement establishes that, as of August 17, 2020, the suspension of deadlines and terms in the acts and proceedings conducted before the CRE is concluded. Likewise, the Agreement renders without effect Agreements Nos. A/010/2020, A/014/2020, A/015/2020, and A/018/2020, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on March 24, April 7 and 30, and May 29, 2020, such that the actions, requirements, requests, or filings made before the CRE during the period provided for in the previous Agreements shall be understood to have been made on August 17, 2020. Finally, it is established that the health and safety measures to be implemented for the operation of the Office of the Clerk (Oficialía de Partes), as well as the entry of individuals into the CRE's facilities, will be announced on its official website and will be adjusted in accordance with the instructions issued by the health authorities.
