Pursuant to the Decree, private-sector companies and employers are encouraged, with respect to all non-essential administrative activities, to implement remote work, teleworking, or other flexible work arrangements in Mexico City on June 17, 2026, starting at 3:00 p.m., and on June 24, 2026, throughout the entire workday.
Pursuant to the Decree, private-sector companies and employers are encouraged, with respect to all non-essential administrative activities, to implement remote work, teleworking, or other flexible work arrangements in Mexico City on June 17, 2026, starting at 3:00 p.m., and on June 24, 2026, throughout the entire workday. Likewise, employers in the metropolitan area of Guadalajara, Jalisco, are encouraged to implement such arrangements throughout the entire workday on June 18, 2026. These measures are intended to support urban mobility and road safety during the events.
To avoid any misunderstanding, it is important to note that the scope of the Decree is limited, as it merely extends an invitation to adopt flexible work arrangements. Under no circumstances should it be interpreted as declaring a public holiday or non-working day, nor as imposing a mandatory obligation by the Federal Government.
