Approval of the Mexican Fintech Law

On March 1, 2018, the Chamber of Deputies approved the Decree (“Decree”) enacting the Law to Regulate Financial Technology Institutions and amending and repealing various provisions of the Credit Institutions Law, the Securities Market Law and other related legislation (the “Law” or “FinTech Law”). Pursuant to said Decree, the FinTech Law has been sent to the Federal Executive for its enactment and publication in the Official Gazette of the Federation.
