Mexico approves the “Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership”

On May 23, 2018, the approval of the “Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership,” better known as TPP-11 or CPTPP, was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation, in addition to two Side Agreements to the TPP-11 executed by Mexico with Vietnam concerning the textile sector; a Side Agreement executed with Malaysia regarding the rule of origin applicable to the production of certain vehicles; and a Side Agreement with Australia concerning the protection of investments.
