The Guidelines that were published have practically the same content as those that had been made known by the Ministry of Health (Technical Guidelines for Health Safety in the Work Environment), providing that they are of general application to all workplaces, when their return is authorized through the "Health Alert System," which will begin operating as of June 1, 2020. Nevertheless, a new obligation is established for all workplaces considered essential, which entails that they must self-assess at the following link: www.nuevanormalidad.gob.mx; however, approval is not required to begin their operations as of June 1, 2020. On the other hand, said self-assessment tool will be available for the remaining workplaces to use on a voluntary basis. Finally, essential workplaces that carried out their self-assessment during the period from May 18 to 31 and that have the approval of the IMSS will not be obligated to carry out the self-assessment indicated in the preceding paragraph.
