At its session held on June 8, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on June 12,1 the Plenary of the Commission resolved that the initial period (March 23 to April 17), the second period (April 20 to April 30), the third period (May 6 to May 29) and the fourth period (June 1 to June 12) of the suspension of terms will be extended. Accordingly, and as of June 15 of this year, all time limits and terms will be suspended until June 30
In addition to the foregoing, the proceedings for which the terms will continue to run normally are: (i) requests for a formal opinion; (ii) general guidelines; (iii) the opinions set forth in Article 12 of the Federal Economic Competition Law (the “Law”), sections XII, XIII, XIV, XV and XVIII; (iv) public consultations; (v) the immunity program; (vi) the benefit of exemption or reduction of the amount of fines; (vii) the stage following the conclusion of investigations for monopolistic practices or unlawful concentrations; (viii) the time limits for the Plenary to issue a resolution in any proceeding, under certain conditions; (ix) the processing and steps necessary to take the evidence that may have been ordered, provided that such taking of evidence involves solely the submission of documents; (x) in incidental proceedings or those conducted in the form of a trial, the summons for closing arguments and the time limits for submitting closing arguments; and (xi) the actions aimed at conducting the oral hearing provided for in Article 83, section VI of the Law. All submissions filed with the Commission during the first, second, third, fourth and fifth suspension periods that are not related to the proceedings indicated above will be deemed filed on July 1.
