Today an agreement of the Ministry of Health was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation modifying the application of some of the extraordinary measures adopted by agreement dated March 31, 2020.
The suspension of all activities considered non-essential is extended until May 30, 2020, but it is clarified that the suspension will cease to be implemented as of May 18 in the municipalities of the country that, as of today, present low or no transmission of the virus. However, it is clarified that the home confinement of persons belonging to vulnerable groups will remain in force until further notice. It is also specified that the Ministry of Health will define the criteria for evaluating the intensity of the transmission of the virus, the factors related to the risk of spread, as well as the guidelines for reducing mobility among municipalities with different degrees of spread. Finally, certain obligations are imposed on the states, such as implementing measures for the prevention, control, and reduction of the mobility of inhabitants among municipalities in accordance with the general criteria issued by the Ministry of Health, as well as carrying out the reconversion and expansion of the hospitals under their charge so as to guarantee the timely care of the population.
