Von Wobeser y Sierra S.C. represented Anheuser Busch InBev in the acquisition of Grupo Modelo.

Von Wobeser y Sierra's corporate team, led by Claus Von Wobeser, Luis Burgueño, Fernando Carreño and Gloria Martínez, successfully represented the Belgian brewer, Anheuser Busch InBev, in the acquisition of the remainder of the Mexican brewer, Grupo Modelo, for 20.1 billion dollars. Grupo Modelo managed the Corona, Victoria and Negra Modelo brands, among many others. A-B InBev already held a noncontrolling 50% of Grupo Modelo and will acquire the remainder at USD 9.15 per share (a 30% premium above Grupo Modelo's closing stock price on June 22, 2012). Anheuser Busch InBev is the largest brewer, with more than 200 brands and 116,000 employees. The acquisition is one of the most significant in history and the second most important in the history of A-B InBev. Through the transaction, they will gain access to one of the most solid markets in Latin America and will operate in 24 countries.
