Introducción

En la segunda parte del documento “ESG en la Industria Minera Mexicana” abordamos los primeros tres ejes relativos a las mejores prácticas ambientales para la industria de la minería en 2022, conforme a lo previsto en el Índice de Minería Responsable (Responsible Mining Index-RMI) elaborado por la Fundación de Minería Responsable (Responsbile Mining Foundation-RMF). Concretamente, se abordaron las mejores prácticas ambientales para la industria minera en materia de (i) administración ambiental, (ii) manejo de relaves y (iii) administración del agua. En esta tercera parte abordaremos los cuatro ejes restantes señalados en el RMI.

Introduction

In the second part of the document “ESG in the Mexican Mining Industry”, we addressed the first three indicators related to the best environmental practices for the mining industry in 2022, as provided in the Responsible Mining Index (RMI) and developed by the Responsible Mining Foundation (RMF). Specifically, we addressed the best environmental practices for the mining industry in terms of (i) environmental management, (ii) tailings management, and (iii) water management. In this third part, we will address the remaining four categories identified in the RMI.
