Mariana is an associate of Von Wobeser y Sierra. She has more than eight years of experience in the practices of international dispute resolution, international investment law, international commercial law and public international law, applied mainly in international commercial arbitration and investment arbitration. Her practice centers on the representation of States and state entities, as well as investors in arbitral proceedings before the most important institutions such as ICSID, PCA, ICC and UNCITRAL mainly in the sectors of energy, oil and gas. She has also participated as assistant of the tribunal in institutional arbitrations conducted under ICSID, PCA and ICC.
Before joining the firm, Mariana worked in the international firm Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle in the practice groups of international arbitration and public international law, assisting in the representation of States and state entities in disputes. She also worked in the Mexican firm Creel, García-Cuellar, Aiza y Enríquez in the groups of arbitration and dispute resolution, assisting in the representation of claimants in international disputes and as assistant of arbitral tribunals in arbitral proceedings.
