We are proud to announce that, for the 11th consecutive year, Von Wobeser y Sierra, S.C., has been recognized as a "Pro bono Leading Light 2022" by Latin Lawyer and The Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice.
This accolade is given to a select group of firms in Latin America that have implemented pro bono legal advice as part of their culture. In Mexico, 43 firms submitted entries and only 13 won the award, including our firm.
Pro bono work has a transformative effect on our society, as it helps individuals or communities from vulnerable population groups and civil society organizations to thrive and have access to free legal advice.
Since its foundation in 1986, our firm has fostered and embraced pro bono culture. For more than 36 years, we have seen the benefit of pro bono work, particularly how it brings positive impact to our communities, both on a social and environmental level.
We are honored by this distinction, and grateful to our partners, of counsel, counsel, associates and interns, as well as our administrative staff, who support this important cause. Without their collaboration it would not have been possible to receive this recognition.
Likewise, we extend our congratulations to all the firms in Latin America that were recognized for their commitment and pro bono work.
