Administrative measures – Events related to the FIFA World Cup 2026 in Mexico City
We would like to inform you that, on June 26, 2026, a decree was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation establishing certain administrative measures in connection with the FIFA World Cup 2026 events taking place in Mexico City (the “Decree”).
Pursuant to the Decree, private-sector companies and employers are encouraged, with respect to all non-essential administrative activities, to implement remote work, teleworking, or other flexible work arrangements in Mexico City on June 30, 2026, throughout the entire workday. These measures are intended to support urban mobility and road safety during the events.
It should be noted that the Decree is limited in scope to encouraging the implementation of flexible work arrangements. In no event should it be interpreted as an official declaration of a public holiday or a non-working day.
