Dear Clients and Friends, As part of the Judicial Integrity Initiative launched by the International Bar Association (“IBA”) President David. W. Rivkin, Von Wobeser & Sierra, S.C. (“VWYS”) has the honor to share with you that its partners, associates and clerks have, individually, signed the IBA Judicial Anti-Corruption Compact. By signing to this Anti-Corruption Compact, VWYS ratifies its commitment in fighting corruption.We are one of the first law firms in Mexico to assume an institutional commitment to the Judicial Anti-Corruption Compact and we have done so with the intention to affiliate ourselves with this change in favor of a legal culture more driven towards integrity in the practice of our profession.

Von Wobeser y Sierra’s Attorneys Sign the IBA Anticorruption Compact

The Mexican Supreme Court Chief Justice, together with the IBA President and the Presidents of the three main Mexican Bar Associations, all signed the Anticorruption Compact in a ceremony hosted by the Mexican Chief Justice at the Mexican Supreme Court.

In Mexico, Acqua Minerale San Benedetto S.p.A. sold the shares that it held in two mexican subsidiaries that are part of a joint venture created by the company and Grupo Peñafiel, Pañafiel Aguas Minerales S.A. de C.V. for a confidential amount.

The transaction concluded September 15th, San Benedetto was represented in Mexico by the law firm Von Wobeser y Sierra, S.C.
