Mexico City, December 9, 2025.- Von Wobeser y Sierra, S.C., announces the promotion of four new partners, effective January 1, 2026. These appointments strengthen the firm’s capabilities in key practice areas and reinforce its mission to offer full-service legal solutions to address its clients’ most complex needs. This announcement comes at a moment of strategic consolidation, following the firm’s recent move to its new offices in Polanco and ahead of its 40th anniversary in 2026.

Von Wobeser y Sierra has 18 practice areas, 7 industry groups, and a world-class legal team of over 160 members, including 26 partners, 6 of counsel, and 8 counsel.

The new partners are Rodrigo Barradas, Michel Llorens, Luis Enrique Torres and Ricardo Cacho.

Rodrigo Barradas has over fifteen years of experience in dispute resolution. He plays an important role in the firm’s Arbitration and Litigation practices and is part of the Energy & Natural Resources industry group. His participation in international arbitrations and high-profile judicial proceedings across various jurisdictions strengthens the firm’s ability to offer high-quality legal representation in complex disputes involving Mexico. His deep commitment and impeccable work are widely recognized by clients and peers. Rodrigo is admitted to practice law in both Mexico and the State of New York, U.S.

Michel Llorens brings more than eleven years of experience in antitrust law, focusing on complex mergers and anticompetitive practices across various industries. He has led high-profile investigations and represented clients in significant proceedings before competition authorities, earning recognition from clients for his outstanding track record. His experience includes serving as in-house counsel at Pemex (Petróleos Mexicanos). Michel’s promotion strengthens the firm’s capacity to advise on sensitive antitrust matters.

Luis Enrique Torres has more than seventeen years of experience in tax and administrative litigation, alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and tax consulting. He has litigated complex matters before federal and local courts, as well as before the Mexican Supreme Court of Justice. He is one of the most experienced lawyers in Mexico in the use of ADR mechanisms for tax matters. In addition, he advises domestic and multinational companies on international corporate structuring and various transactions, including M&A and financial operations. His promotion reinforces the firm’s tax practice.

Ricardo Cacho has over seventeen years of experience in criminal law, focusing on financial and tax crimes. Since joining the firm in 2024, he has successfully led several sensitive and complex investigations for clients across various industries. Prior to joining the firm, he led investigations into financial and tax crimes, managed oral trials for tax fraud, conducted legislative negotiations, oversaw high-profile criminal proceedings, and litigated before the Mexican Supreme Court of Justice. He also held senior roles in the public sector, including at the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) and the Office of the Attorney General (PGR), and represented Mexico before multilateral organizations such as the UN, OECD, OAS and FATF. Ricardo’s profile is highly valued by clients seeking criminal law advice backed by a leading full-service law firm. His promotion consolidates the firm’s Investigations, Anti-corruption & Compliance practice, particularly in complex criminal and tax matters.
