Jessika Rocha is a partner at Von Wobeser y Sierra. With over twenty years of experience, she is a member of the firm’s Litigation; Arbitration; Investigations, Anti-corruption & Compliance; and Bankruptcy & Restructuring practices. She is also part of the Consumer Goods industry group.
She has represented domestic and international clients across a wide range of industries in commercial, administrative, constitutional, and civil proceedings, as well as class actions, before both state and federal courts in Mexico. Her arbitration experience includes representing clients from the energy, consumer goods, technology, real estate, and construction sectors in domestic and international arbitration proceedings. She has substantial expertise in obtaining judicial support and handling interim measures. Part of her arbitration experience includes an internship at the U.S. headquarters of one of the world’s most prestigious arbitration institutions, where she gained experience in the administration of commercial arbitrations. Her practice also includes matters involving breach and termination of contracts, civil liability, consumer-packaged goods, and public procurement in the electricity, hydrocarbons, and maritime sectors.
In the area of Investigations, Anti-corruption & Compliance, Jessika advises domestic and international companies on internal investigations, the design and implementation of compliance programs, and risk management strategies. She also handles complex matters related to white-collar crime, including potential acts of bribery, fraud, workplace discrimination, and sexual harassment and abuse. Her gender-sensitive perspective adds significant value in addressing these particularly delicate matters with empathy and sensitivity.
In the field of bankruptcy and restructuring, Jessika served as an assistant to conciliators appointed by the Federal Institute of Specialists in Bankruptcy for the conciliation and bankruptcy stages. She has represented both debtors and creditors in insolvency proceedings and regularly advises clients on commercial strategies to mitigate risks in cases of insolvency and fraud, including cross-border insolvency matters and cases linked to arbitration.
